At Chirp Haven Aviary, we bring over 30 years of hands-on experience in raising, understanding, and caring for parrots of all kinds. From their behavior and intelligence to their emotional needs and long-term health, we can confidently say we know birds inside and out and we’re passionate about sharing that knowledge with every new owner.
Our journey began in Tasmania, Australia, where we first started our home-based parrot farm. What started as a small family passion quickly grew into a lifelong dedication to aviculture. However, our path has not been without hardship. As a teenager, I experienced one of the most devastating moments of my life when I lost my entire flock in a fire outbreak. That loss changed everything for me.
It was from that pain and deep love for parrots that I eventually made the life-changing move to the United States, where I met my wife. Together, we rebuilt what was lost and founded Chirp Haven Aviary, turning a story of loss into one of purpose, resilience, and renewed passion.
Today, we continue to operate as dedicated home breeders, with birds still carefully sourced from trusted lines in Australia and raised with the same values we began with decades ago. Our aviary now ships parrots worldwide, with our strongest communities of happy families in the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and we have also successfully placed birds in homes across Europe.
